Professor Seokhwan Jeong joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering in March 2021. He received his B.S. from Yonsei University and his M.S. and Ph.D. from KAIST, and works on robotic mechanism design and control and medical/surgical robotics.

His Robotics and Intelligent Mechanisms Lab (RIM Lab) studies actuation mechanisms, compact variable transmissions, robotic hands and AI-based multi-finger grasping, minimally invasive surgical robots, hand exoskeletons for rehabilitation, and compact optical force sensors.
