Student Council
The ME Student Council is an autonomous body that represents students' voices and works with every member of the department for its development.

MECHA — student engineering society
MECHA is the department's academic society devoted to applying automatic control theory to areas of interest, building control systems that help people — in particular, building robotic systems and applying control algorithms for the best performance.
Founded together with the department, MECHA is known for continuous research, a spirit of challenge, close bonds between seniors and juniors, and strong academic records. Current focus areas are drones and battle robots, with strong results at robot camps, intelligent-vehicle competitions and contests.
Activities are led by undergraduates, with graduate students as honorary members supporting research and experiments. Membership is around 50–60 including regular members, honorary members and those on military service.
